Frequently Asked Questions

Short answers on how offers work, what they cost, how accepted items reach your orders, and what data xPostio keeps.

About xPostio

What does xPostio do?

It shows your customers a one-click offer right after they pay, before the Thank you page. If they accept, the items are added to the same order and charged to the same card.

Does it slow down checkout?

No. The offer page appears after the order is placed, and the customer can skip it with one click. If no offer matches the order, they go straight to the Thank you page.

Do customers have to enter their card again?

No. Accepted items are charged to the card used for the order.

Can customers say no?

Yes, every offer has No thanks, complete my order. A customer sees at most three offers in a row on Growth and Pro, and one offer on Free.

Does it work with every payment method?

No, and that’s Shopify’s rule, not ours. Shopify doesn’t show the post-purchase page for wallets and installment services such as Apple Pay, Google Pay or Klarna, for gift cards, or for some payment providers. See Troubleshooting for the full list.

Offers

Which discounts can I use?

Percentage off, fixed amount off, Buy X Get Y and free shipping. The Free plan includes percentage off; the other three are on Growth and Pro. See Discount types.

Who chooses the products?

xPostio’s AI picks the products in your catalogue most similar to what the customer just bought, leaving out drafts and sold-out products. You choose how many to show, up to your plan’s limit: 1 on Free, 3 on Growth and 10 on Pro.

Can I give a free gift?

Yes, on Growth and Pro: a Buy X Get Y offer with a Gift discount value of 100. The customer picks a recommended product and the gift comes free. Keep the gift in stock.

Can I show different offers to different customers?

Yes, with targeting rules on Growth and Pro: order size, number of items, and the stock of the offered products. See Targeting rules.

Can I have more than one offer live?

One workflow is live at a time. On Growth and Pro a customer can see up to three offers in a row, and the workflow can hold up to seven, so each answer can lead to a different next offer. On Free it holds one offer.

Is the countdown timer required?

No, it’s optional, and it’s on Growth and Pro. When it runs out, the offer closes as if the customer declined.

Orders and payments

How does an accepted offer appear in my orders?

The items are added to the customer’s original order, with the discount on each line. For a free-shipping offer the items are full price and a free shipping line is added. The customer pays the difference on the same card.

Each accepted offer is a separate payment on that order, so an order can have more than one payment. If you capture payments manually, capture every payment on those orders.

When can I fulfill an order that went through the offer page?

Shopify holds fulfillment while the customer is on the offer page. The hold is lifted when the customer reaches the Order status page. If they close the browser instead, it’s lifted one hour after checkout.

Who handles refunds for accepted items?

You do, in your Shopify admin, like any other order line.

Data and AI

What customer data does xPostio keep?

Only what it needs for the offer and your results: the order reference, the Shopify customer ID, the products and quantities in the order, the order total, and which offers the customer saw and answered. It never receives card details. See the Privacy Policy.

Do I need my own OpenAI key or AI account?

No. The AI that picks the products for your offers is included in every plan and runs on xPostio’s own account. Connect AI, on Pro, is different: it’s for connecting the AI assistant you already use.

What does “Connect AI” cost?

Connect AI is included in the Pro plan. Your AI provider bills you for your own assistant.

Can my AI assistant see my orders?

No. It can read your workflows, your product catalogue and your store details, and nothing else. See Connect AI.

Account

What does xPostio cost?

There are three plans: Free at $0, Growth at $19 and Pro at $49, every 30 days. Shopify bills them on your Shopify bill, and nothing is charged until you approve it. See Plans and billing.

What happens when I reach my plan’s limit?

The offer page stops showing until your count starts again: on the 1st of the month on Free, at your renewal date on Growth. Pro has no limit. Settings → Plans shows how many customers you’ve reached.

How do I change my plan?

In Settings → Plans. An upgrade starts as soon as you approve it. A cheaper paid plan starts when the period you’ve paid for ends. Free starts at once.

What happens when I uninstall?

Your workflows are turned off, every connected AI assistant is disconnected, and Shopify cancels your paid plan. 48 hours later your store’s data is erased. If you install xPostio again before then, your workflows are still there, and you start on Free. See the Privacy Policy for details.
