Connect AI
Connect Claude or ChatGPT over MCP so it builds your offers, and exactly what it can and cannot reach.
xPostio has no chatbot of its own. Instead, you connect the AI assistant you already use, such as Claude or ChatGPT, and it works inside xPostio for you. You ask in plain words; your assistant builds or changes the offer.
Connect AI is included in the Pro plan. On Free and Growth, a new assistant can’t be approved, and one connected earlier can’t use xPostio’s tools until you upgrade. See Plans and billing.

How to connect
- In xPostio, go to Settings → Connect AI.
- Under Your connection URL, click Copy.
- In your AI client, open its Connectors or MCP servers settings and add the URL.
- Your browser opens your Shopify admin. Check the request and click Allow access.
Your assistant is now connected to this store, and only this store.
What your assistant can do

| Read | Your workflows, your product catalogue (titles, prices, stock, tags) and your store details (name, domain, currency, timezone, plan, owner, email, country, city). |
| Create | Builds a new post-purchase workflow as a draft. Drafts show nothing to customers. |
| Update | Changes a workflow that is off. It refuses to change a live workflow: turn it off first, or ask your assistant to unpublish it, then publish again when you’ve reviewed the change. |
| Publish | Turns a workflow on. It refuses while another post-purchase workflow is live: unpublish that one first. |
| Unpublish | Turns a workflow off and back to draft. |
| Delete | Archives a workflow (everything is kept), or deletes it for good if it has never run. It refuses a live workflow: turn it off first. |
Clients that support it ask for your confirmation before Publish, Unpublish and Delete.
What your assistant can’t do
- It can’t read your orders, your customers or your checkout results.
- It can’t change your offer page design, your checkout settings or anything outside xPostio.
- It can’t reach another store, even one you also own.
Every action it takes is written to an audit trail by xPostio’s own server, not by the AI client.
Disconnecting
Go to Settings → Connect AI and click Disconnect next to the client. It loses access immediately. Uninstalling xPostio disconnects every client.
Cost
Connect AI is included in the Pro plan, $49 every 30 days. Your AI provider bills you separately for using your assistant, at their rates. See Plans and billing.

Which AI clients work?
Any client that supports MCP connectors, such as Claude and ChatGPT.
My assistant built an offer but customers don’t see it.
It’s a draft. Ask your assistant to publish it, or open it in Workflows and click Turn on workflow. If publishing is refused with “Your … plan doesn’t include …”, the workflow uses something your plan lacks. See Plans and billing.
Can I connect more than one assistant?
Yes. Each one appears in Settings → Connect AI and can be disconnected on its own.
