Terms of Service
The agreement between your store and DevOps Crowd Inc. for using xPostio: what the app does, what it costs, and what you are responsible for.
The short version
A plain-language summary. It is not a substitute for the full text below.
- One-click offers after payment xPostio shows your offers after the customer pays. Accepted items are added to their order and charged to the same card by Shopify.
- Your offers, your responsibility You set the products, prices and discounts, and you fulfil, support and refund accepted items like any other order.
- Free and paid plans xPostio has a Free plan and two paid plans. Shopify bills paid plans on your Shopify bill, and nothing is charged until you approve it.
- AI suggests, you decide AI recommends products, and a connected assistant builds offers as drafts. Nothing goes live until it's published.
Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of xPostio, a Shopify Partner app operated by DevOps Crowd Inc. You accept them when you install xPostio from the Shopify App Store or use the app. If you install it for a business, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms on that business’s behalf. If you don’t accept them, uninstall the app and stop using it.
What xPostio is
xPostio shows post-purchase offers: after a customer pays and before the Thank you page, it shows an offer page with products recommended from your catalogue at a discount you set. If the customer accepts, Shopify adds the items to their order and charges the card used for the order. You build your offers as workflows, choose their discounts and targeting rules, design the offer page, and see the results in the app. Features change as the product develops.
Eligibility and your Shopify account
You need an active Shopify store, and you must be able to enter a contract where you live. xPostio only runs once you select it as your post-purchase app in your Shopify checkout settings. Shopify decides when the post-purchase page appears, and it doesn’t appear for some payment methods and orders, as described in our help center. You are responsible for the information you enter, for the AI clients you connect, and for everything done under your account, including by your staff. Your use of Shopify itself is governed by Shopify’s own terms.
Price
xPostio has three plans: Free at $0, Growth at $19 and Pro at $49, in US dollars, billed every 30 days. The features and limits of each plan are shown in the app under Settings → Plans and in our help center. There is no free trial.
Paid plans are billed by Shopify, on your Shopify bill, and Shopify handles the payment. Nothing is charged until you approve the charge on Shopify’s approval page. An upgrade starts when you approve it. A switch to a cheaper paid plan starts when the period you’ve paid for ends. A switch to Free cancels your paid plan at once, and the unused part of the period is not credited. If you uninstall xPostio, Shopify cancels your paid plan, and the rest of the period is not credited.
If Shopify puts your paid plan on hold because a payment failed, the Free plan’s limits apply until the payment goes through. We will tell you before any price change takes effect, and a new price needs your approval on Shopify’s page.
Your offers and your customers
You decide what is offered, at what price and with what discount, and you are responsible for it: the accuracy of your products and prices, having the stock, fulfilment, customer service, returns and refunds for accepted items, and the taxes that apply. Make your offers honest and clear, and follow the consumer and pricing law in your market. Shopify’s own rules for post-purchase offers also apply, including showing the full cost before a customer accepts. The offer page shows Shopify’s calculation of the total, and xPostio’s server checks each accepted offer against your settings before it goes to Shopify.
Acceptable use
Use xPostio for lawful offers for your own store. Don’t use it to mislead customers, to impersonate anyone, or to work around Shopify’s terms. Don’t reverse engineer the app, overload it, or try to reach data that isn’t yours.
AI features
xPostio uses AI in two ways. Product recommendations use similarity data built from your catalogue text through OpenAI. Connect AI, part of the Pro plan, lets you connect your own AI client, such as Claude or ChatGPT, over MCP, after you approve it in your Shopify admin. It can build and change offers as drafts, turn them on or off, and delete them. AI can be wrong, so review what it builds before you publish it: you are responsible for the offers that go live. Your AI provider bills you for anything you connect.
Intellectual property and your content
xPostio, including its software and design, belongs to DevOps Crowd Inc. While your account is active you have a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for your own store. You may not copy, resell or build derivative works from it, except where the law allows. Your store data, your customer data and the offers you build stay yours. You give us the access we need to run the service for you, as our Privacy Policy sets out.
Third-party services
xPostio works alongside services we don’t control: Shopify, Gadget, which hosts the app, OpenAI, and any AI client you connect yourself. Each has its own terms, prices and outages, and we aren’t responsible for what they do or fail to do. If one of them changes or withdraws a service, the matching xPostio feature may change or stop working.
Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep xPostio running, but the service is provided as it is and as available. We don’t promise a level of uptime, a support response time, or that the offer page will appear for any given order, since that depends on Shopify. We may add, change or remove features, and we may take the app down for maintenance.
Warranties and limitation of liability
xPostio comes without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise that your revenue will rise or that a customer will accept an offer, because results depend on your store, your offers and your customers. To the fullest extent the law allows, DevOps Crowd Inc. isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before it.
Termination and uninstalling
You can uninstall xPostio from your Shopify admin at any time. When you do, your workflows are turned off, every connected AI client is disconnected, Shopify cancels your paid plan as described in section 4, and your data is handled as our Privacy Policy describes. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or if we need to protect the service.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Montreal, Quebec have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts. If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as xPostio and the law change. The current version is always the one on this page, with its date. Continuing to use xPostio after an update means you accept the updated terms. If you don’t accept them, uninstall the app.
