Plans and Billing
The three plans, what each includes, how the customers-reached count works, and what happens when you change plan.
xPostio has three plans: Free, Growth and Pro. You see your plan, your customers reached this period and all three plans in Settings → Plans, and you change plans there too. Shopify bills paid plans on your Shopify bill.
The plans

Customers reached
Customers reached counts each checkout that gets to your post-purchase page. A checkout that shows several offers counts once, and a customer who checks out twice counts twice.
- On Free, customers are counted per calendar month, and the count starts again on the 1st at midnight UTC.
- On Growth and Pro, customers are counted per billing period: the 30 days that end on your renewal date.
When you reach your plan’s limit, the offer page stops showing until the count starts again, and customers go straight to the Thank you page. To keep offers running, upgrade in Settings → Plans. The Plans tab shows how many customers you’ve reached and when the count restarts.
Changing your plan
Go to Settings → Plans and click the plan you want.
- Upgrade — Shopify opens a page where you approve the charge. Once you approve it, the new plan starts right away and you come back to the Plans tab.
- Switch to a cheaper paid plan — you approve the new charge in the same way. Your current plan stays until the period you’ve paid for ends, and then the cheaper plan starts.
- Switch to Free — xPostio asks you to confirm. Your paid plan is cancelled at once and the Free limits apply straight away. The unused days of the paid period are not credited.
Nothing is charged until you approve it on Shopify’s page. If you decline, your plan doesn’t change.
When your workflow uses more than your plan
This happens after moving to a smaller plan, or with a workflow built before you changed plans.
- At checkout, an offer that uses a discount type or targeting rules your plan doesn’t include is skipped, as if the customer had declined it. On Free, only the first offer of the workflow can show.
- A countdown your plan doesn’t include is removed from the offer, and the offer still shows.
- Products are capped at your plan’s number, even if the offer asks for more.
- Turning a workflow on is refused while it uses something your plan doesn’t include, and the message names what to remove or upgrade for.
- In the editor, those options are locked and marked with the plan that includes them. An option already saved stays visible with a note, so you can remove it.
Connect AI and your plan
Connect AI is included in the Pro plan. On Free and Growth, a new AI assistant can’t be approved. An assistant you connected earlier stays listed, but it can’t use xPostio’s tools until you upgrade. See Connect AI.
Billing questions
Who bills me?
Shopify does. Paid plans appear on your Shopify bill, and Shopify handles the payment. xPostio never receives your card or bank details.
What happens if a payment fails?
If Shopify puts your paid plan on hold for an unpaid bill, the Free limits apply until the payment goes through. Your plan then comes back on its own, and the Plans tab shows a notice while it’s on hold.
What happens when I uninstall?
Shopify cancels your paid plan when you uninstall xPostio, and the rest of the period isn’t credited. 48 hours later your store’s data is erased. If you install xPostio again before then, your workflows are still there. Either way you start on Free and can choose a plan again.
I’m testing on a development store. Will I be charged?
No. Charges on development stores are test charges. You approve them the same way, but Shopify doesn’t bill them. If the development store later becomes a real store, its test plan no longer counts: the store goes back to Free until you approve a real charge in Settings → Plans.
